Welcome to Diptford Parish Hall, Water Lane, Diptford, Totnes TQ9 7NY

Diptford Parish Hall is a modern, purpose built village hall located on Water Lane near the centre of the village of Diptford. The hall is available for hire and is suitable for a wide range of events such as meetings, social functions and recreational classes. A small private car park for about 8 vehicles is adjacent to the building.

The hall is licensed by South Hams Council for the performance of live music, recorded music, plays and dances. A state of the art AV cinema and conference system has been installed in the hall and is available for use by hirers. The Hall is licensed for use up to midnight but the normal opening hours are 8am to 10.30pm and any period of hire outside these times is by arrangement and will incur a charge.

During term time the main kitchen, main hall and committee room are used by the local school on weekdays for the preparation and serving of school meals.

A History of Diptford Parish Hall

A fascinating history of the Hall from its origins in 1920 up until 1992 when the original hall was replaced by the present purpose built hall can be downloaded from the link below. This account of the history of the hall was written in 2004 by the late Tony Redfern who was actively involved in getting the new Parish Hall built.
